The opportunity space

While the Google Maps app provides bicyclists with routes identified by travel distance and time, there’s more to a route than those criteria: preference in terms of one’s riding style aren’t currently taken into account.

For this project, Ilooked at improving the map experience for cyclists on the go by offering them an option to filter Google’s suggested routes based on their own riding styles.

User interaction flow

I created the screen designs based on Google’s Material Design guidelines and the existing Google Maps iPhone app.

For the final deliverable, I created a working prototype was using HTML5 and jQuery.
